Altenew Markers Release Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew Markers Release Blog Hop! I'm so thrilled to be a part of this hop! Hope you're having fun and enjoying looking my projects :)!

If you are arrived here from amazing Kelly Latevola's blog, you are right on track. If you want to start over from the beginning of the hop, please move to Altenew Card blog. Or click here to go over to Altenew Scrapbook Blog

Altenew released two new Artist Markers sets today. The Artist Markers set B has purple (Shades of Purple), yellow (Summer Afternoon) and warm gray lines and the Artist Markers Set C includes cool blue (Glacier Caves), red (Red Sunset) shades and Four Scoups. There is also 36 color set which includes all Altenew Artist Markers.

For my first card I mainly used the Artist Markers Set B. The big floral image from Sketchy Floral stamp set was colored in purple and yellow.

I started off by stamping a part of the Sketchy Floral image on a Canson watercolor paper panel in gray ink. I then colored the floral image. The purple petals were colored using all 4 colors of the purple shade from Artist Markers Set B. For the yellow petals I used C001, Y204, Y205 and Y612 from Set B except for Y204 which is from Set C. The leaves were colored in G702, G715 from Artist Markers Set A and warm gray colors in WG01 and WG03 also from Set B

After done with coloring I stamped the image again in an embossing ink with the help of MISTI and heat embossed it in gold. For the background I added some loose watercolor wash in aqua and green.
The sentiment from the Sketchy Floral set was gold heat embossed on a light blue vellum banner.
I glued the panel on my A2 card base and the vellum banner onto the card. To finish off I added a matte green enamel dot from New Day Card Kit on the banner and colored the floral centers in gold Pico Embellisher.

For my second card I created a floral cluster using solo floral stamps from Blooming Bouquet set, which I colored using various Artist Markers. To show off the floral bouquet I created a background panel also using the Artist Markers (A, B and C).

To create the background panel of the second card I scribbled R823, G554, G702, B002 and B016 on a Yupo panel and blended the colors using rubbing alcohol and a brush. After the panel was dry I added white splatters and set it aside. The flowers and leaves from Blooming Bouquet stamp set were stamped on some Neenah solar white cardstock and colored using Artist Markers. The big red flowers were colored in R301, R206, R217 from set C and R335 (SetA). On the small blue florals I used B002, R902 from Set C and R702 and R705 from set B. For the leaves I used the green colors from the Set A. I cut the images using coordinating dies

I cut the background panel I created using Notebook die in an angle and foam mounted it on the cardbase on which I adhered a purple panel. I arranged the flowers and leaves on that. For some dimension I added foam adhesives underneath some flowers and leaves. The sentiment in black is from Just Because stamp set. I fussy cut the sentiment and added it onto the card. To finish off I added some purple and iridescent sequins.

On my next card I used one of my favorite color combinations, coral and gray.

The coral flowers are colored in R301, R206 from Artist Markers set C and R304 from set A. The leaves are in warm gray from Set B. I colored the yellow berries in C001 and Y205 from Set B.

I started by die cutting Neenah solar white cardstock using coordinating dies of Golden Garden set. I then stamped the images of Golden Garden set in light color on the die cuts and colored them using Artist Markers. After done with coloring I gold heat embossed the images. The watercolor wash in payne's gray and gold on watercolor panel was the backdrop for my floral arrangement. The circled sentiment was gold heat embossed and cut. I added a gold vellum circle underneath the sentiment and added it onto the flower cluster.

My last card for today is a CAS card. I kept the image in blue and green and added some gold accent.

The beautiful floral cluster is from Just Because stamp set. I stamped it in light gray on a Neenah white panel and colored them using Artist Markers. The blue flowers were colored in B002 and B016 from Set C and the teal ones in B201, B204 and B313 form Set A. I used Copic colorless blender to add the brightest highlight on the petals. For greenery around the flowers I used the green shades from Set A, the blue shades from Set C and warm gray shades from Set B.

After done with coloring I cut the lower part of the outline of the floral cluster using a craft knife, foam mounted the cut panel on the cardbase on which I added a woodgrain patterned paper from New Day Card Kit. The die cut sentiment is from Blooming Bouquet set. I cut it from gold paper included in the New Day Card Kit, stacked it on two die cuts from white cardstock and added it onto the card.
To finish off I added two enamel dots of New Day Card Kit and dots on the stamen using gold Pico embellisher.

Time Out #96 - CASEing Michele

Hello there!

I have a Christmas card to share with you today!
The latest challenge at Time Out is CASEing Michele Ferguson from I Card Everyone. I didn't want to miss the chance to CASE my lovely blogging friend, Michele's card and made one CASE card today :)!

This is Michele's pretty CAS card.

I took the layout and the camouflaging die cut sentiment from Michele's card. But mine is not that CAS like Michele's gorgeous CAS creation.

I used the new background stamp set from The Ton, Christmas Sweater for my background.

To start off I stamped the Christmas Sweater on a A2 sized white cardstock in embossing ink and heat embossed it in white. I then masked the upper part of the panel and blended Worn Lipstick and Candied Apple DOX on right bottom area of the panel. Next I die cut  "merry" using Holiday word die. As I found the die cut sentiment a little bit short I decided to add "Christmas" on the right side of the die cut. To add "Christmas" from Holiday Ornaments set (The Ton) I cut out a thin stripe from the front panel along the border of the blended area to the white part. I adhered the upper and lower part of the front panel flat on the red card base and white heat embossed "Christmas" on the gap between the two partial panels. I die cut "merry" three more times from a white cardstock, stack them together with the die cut from the front panel on the top and placed it on the negative die cut space

For some bling I added silver glitter tape on the bottom edge of the upper panel and two red rhinestones.

I want to enter this card into Addicted to Stamps and More#268: HOLIDAY too!

Thank you so much for looking!
Have a wonderful weekend!!!

The Ton November 2017 Release - Vintage Christmas Block

Hello everyone!

Today I have a Christmas card to share with you featuring a very unique stamp set from The Ton. The Ton had a mini release of 4 clear stamp sets this month. Effie's designs for this release were inspired by her own stamp carving art (If you want to see Effie's hand-carved stamps, visit her on instagram @craftyeffie.) The new holiday stamps are very unique and different from other stamps from The Ton.

Christmas Sweater
Folk Art Christmas Tree

Holiday Ornaments
Vintage Christmas Block

For today's card I used Vintage Christmas Block.

I went with a vintage look like the name of the stamp says.

I stamped the block image on a beige cardstock (Almond Cream from Bazzill) in brown ombre using Found Topaz and Dark Roast dye ink. The black mark on the dark brown part wasn't intended. I tried the stamp using black StazOn on Yupo before I made this card, and the stamp wasn't perfectly clean :). It was an accident but I liked it. I colored the tiny images using Polychromos colored pencils, added some glitter using Spica Glitter pens. I outlined the sentiment and drew the snow on the letters using a white gel pen. It's hard to see in the pic but the letters have glittery coat of a clear glitter pen. To finish off the card I added a thin frame cut from a gold glitter paper.

I don't know why but the close up picture looks a bit bluish :)...

This is a holiday stamp set with which you could create a set of Christmas cards in minutes.  Some metallic or glittery heat embossing of this block image and you have a festive Christmas card in hands!

If you already have some items of the new release, don't forget to play along at The Ton's November Challenge. The theme is HOLIDAY!
As always one winner will get a $50 gift certificate* to The Ton shop!

The Flower Challenge #14 - CAS Reminder

Hello again!

I'm popping in to share two CAS (clean and simple) cards with you! The theme of November at The Flower Challenge is CAS. I've made two cards using EunJi's digital stamp Camelia, which I showed in this post on Monday.

I foiled the image so I have golden outlines, not black ones. After I printed the images in black on some mixed media paper I covered it with Thermoweb gold foil and ran it through a laminator. I should have done it two times. After only once it left some areas without foil, as you can see in the close up picture.

I colored the images using watercolor and fussy cut them all out. The gold foiled purple panel, which I used for background is a patterned paper. The white front panel was cut along the line of the floral image and I added a few score lines for some interest. The front panel is foam mounted on the cardbase. I added the floral image onto the card and added the purple sentiment banner. The white heat embossed sentiment is from Daffodil Greetings set from The Ton.

My second card was made in the same way like the first one. I arranged the floral elements here and cut the front panel along the axis of the arrangement.

So now it's your turn!

Hope you could stop by The Ton's blog to see how I made them.

Thank you so much for stopping by!
Later today I have one more scheduled post. See you again soon :)!

Bright Paeonia & Camelia - EunJi's digital stamps

Hello everyone! Hope you had a restful weekend.

Today I have two cards to share with you. I'm guest designing for EunJi's digital stamps. She released 4 stamp sets on her Etsy shop DotBStamp last week and today's cards are featuring Bright Paeonia and Camelia from the new release.

On my first card I watercolored the Bright Paeonia.

I printed the image in gray on a mixed media paper and watercolored it. I kept the flower in yellow and orange with a little of coral color and added gold on the flower center. The sentiment, stamped in Noir, is from Celebration Rose Cluster set from The Ton. I sprayed Sparkle Shimmer Spritz all over the panel.  I die cut the colored panel with a Distressed Edges die from Spellbinders and foam mounted it on the kraft cardbase. Some Medallion Gold sequins are my finishing touch.

For my second card I used one of the images from Camelia.

The image was printed in gray on a mixed media paper. I watercolored the camelia in pink and purple. This time I colored the petals almost flat so the flower has a simple look. I added sparkle using a clear glitter pen, drew the outline in gray Spica Glitter pen and added white accents using a white gel pen. To pop up the image I added gray shade using C Copics. I cut the right edge of the panel and glued it flat on the cardbase on which I adhered a strip of purple glitter paper. The sentiment from Basic Labels set from The Ton was stamped in Grape Crush and foam mounted onto the card. The purple glitter strip and purple bakers twine embellish the sentiment label. To finish off I scattered some sequins from Valentine Icing, Royal Garden Party and Violet Sprinkle Couture Mix.

Hope you enjoyed looking today's cards :)! EunJi is sharing her gorgeous cards made using Camelia and Bright Paeonia sets on her blog! So hope you could stop by her blog!

Seize the Birthday - Circles

Hello everyone! Hope you're having a great week so far!

Today is Seize the Birthday Thursday :)! And of course I have a birthday card to share with you :)!

The Toppings option for this challenge is CIRCLES !
As always you may link up any newly created birthday card in our gallery, if you want to.

I have created three circle windows on my card.

To start off I stamped Rose Bouquet from The Ton's October Release in Tattered Rose and twisted Citron DI on Bristol Smooth paper, watercolored, and fussy cut them. The front panel with circle windows was cut with my Cricut and dry embossed using Fabric Weave EF by Spellbinders.
To create the blended background I used Twisted Citron, Peacock Feather, Fossilized Amber and Broken China DOX. The front panel was foam mounted on the cardbase. I then placed the bouquets into the circle windows. The banner is from Thankful Cornucopia set from The Ton and the sentiment is from Penned Sentiments also from The Ton. I gold heat embossed them and cut the banner using coordinating die. After I glued the banner onto the card, I added some clear Dew Drops to finish off the card.

That's it from my side. Please hop over to the Seize the Birthday Blog. There are gorgeous inspiration cards from my amazing team mates and our surprise party guest Becca Cruger waiting for you!

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you play along!

The Flower Challenge #14 - CAS

Hello everyone!

A new challenge at The Flower Challenge has started today! The theme for this month is CAS (Clean and Simple).

This is my take on our cue word.

This Daffodil Greetings stamp set is from The Ton. It was an incentive gift in October Release and will be available soon.
I started by stamping the image in copic-friendly Caviar Hybrid ink. After I masked the image and the sides of the image using torn papers, I blended Twisted Citron, Lucky Clover, Peacock Feather and Broken China DI, splattered clear water and dabbed it off with paper towel. I then colored the daffodil using Copic markers and stamped the sentiment from Tulip Bouquet in Noir. To finish off I added some sequins from Flamenco Sunset, Belle's Dress and Glass Slippers from The Ton.

That's it from my side. I enjoyed creating this CAS one layer card! Hope you'll join us at The Flower Challenge!!! Please don't forget to visit The Flower Challenge blog for more inspirations!

Guest Designing at CAS(E) this Sketch #246

Hello everyone!!! Hope your November is starting off well!

Today I have a special card to share with you!!! I had the honor of being a winner at CAS(E) this Sketch in last Summer even twice !!! with this and this card! And today I have a GD spot at CTS 246! :)

This is the artistic sketch which Leigh Penner created! Isn't it awesome ?!!!

The splotchy background is just screaming for alcohol inks :)!

I created the background on Yupo paper using Sunshine Yellow, Mountain Rose, Hazelnut and Gold mixative. The leaves were cut with Sizzix Thinlits Garden Greens dies from some white cardstock and glued flat on the Yupo panel.

The sentiment was cut with hello word die from The Ton from black cardstock and was heat embossed in Extreme Peacock EP. To place my sentiment I cut a small rectangular frame from the same light gray cardstock I used as my cardbase. I foam mounted it onto the card and added the sentiment. Some sequins from Cinderella's RideFlamenco Sunset Couture Mix and Medallion Gold sequins were my finishing touch.

Huge thanks to CAS(E) this Sketch for having me! It was fun to play with the sketch again!

Hope you like my card!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
Have a crafty day!
